Tiny Humanoid in Chile

Occasionally, these things happen. The Little People get found.

In this current case, still under investigation, the vacationing Henriquez Carreņo family found an ill, seven-centimeter-long humanoid creature under a bush. It stayed alive for eight days, occasionally opening its eyes. Shortly after it died, it showed advanced signs of decomposition, virtually mummifying itself overnight.

At first, scientists thought it might be the body of a fetal animal, but the bones are apparently too well-formed and joined together for that to be the case.

The official explanation: the body actually belongs to a small marsupial known as a "mountain monkey," a mouse-like creature something like a possum.

The problem lies in the comparison:

Could these be the same creatures? If not, what did the family find?

I'm not an expert, but don't you think the skull's of both creatures don't match up?

I agree with Angela. I'm not an expert either, just a very curious person.

the "creature" doesn't have the same kind shaped jawbone, the legs aren't shaped like an animal's hind legs, the arms and hands are shaped basically like a human's, the skull is shaped mostly like an alien's,and the eye-slits are too small to have those big possum eyes... so it has to be an alien!

This is really bizarre, for a few reasons. The shape of the skull and fingers, as previously mentioned, don't appear to be that of a deformed possum's (I read that it was officially speculated to be a possum's featus or something, not a small marsupial). I really don't see that being true. What i don't understand is why there hasn't been DNA testing done on it. I mean, this seems like a kind of big deal, potentially. Also, the family said that it was living when they first found it. They said it opened its eyes, and not just when they found it, but days afterwards! Wouldn't that mean there is no way it could be a fetus or any sort, because a fetus would be dead once it was outside the womb? And what about the body being mummified???

If anyone has found any useful information concerning this, I'd love to know about it.

I agree with Maffer in the last posting. I did a little research on the net and came up with nothing so far. I would like to hear something about DNA results. I can't believe there hasn't been more about this in the media. Maybe I should just leave it alone seeing how the government handles these things and people involved. I think this can easily be a fetus. I don't know whay people are always looking for very extrabagant answers and extraterrestial things. Lets get back to simple. It looks like a fetus. The story about that the family found it alive is to be questioned. Everybody wants a little fame, so they can come up with any story to get other people attention.
